You know what's utterly the most fascinating thing to me? People. The various talents we have, the immense power we have. But you know what astounds me the most? The power we have of thought. Its such a wonderful, rare thing. The ability to think for ourselves, to do what we want, to have personalities... its just amazing what we can do. To use the power of thought for everything we have: entertainment, structure, organization... but then again, thought is pretty much everything. We do things for thought, for knowledge. Would we really exist without thinking? Ha, caught you thinking again! Its all we do. Even as you are reading this, you are thinking -- analyzing, interpreting, maybe even spacing off. But this power doesn't come lightly; sure, we can use it for entertainment and what we find amusing, but its also our strongest weakness - its the most dangerous thing we know of. There are weapons out there, tools of destruction, but what use are they to someone not knowing how to use them? Thought is power, which is exactly the same thing as writing. Sure, writing are thoughts that are readable as ink rather than small jolts of lightning shooting around our brains, but they're initially the same thing. Thoughts recorded for later use. But thinking, like I said, isn't always fun and games -- we can use it for manipulation, trickery, and persuasion. But then again, isn't that writing?

Writing can be as dangerous as poison, but no more dangerous than thought is. Again, whats the use of writing without a brain to do it? But these two things only damage if we use it in that way. There are so many good things that writing can be used for, like its accessibility and its easier communication, not to mention we can slant writing in a certain way. Through word choice, writing angles and distintivness, it can be slanted in a particular direction to show a certain side of something, a side never seen before. We have thought of so many countless things in our lifetimes, and isn't amazing that we could just share these things with everyone else and everyone could learn from eachothers' mistakes? We would never have to think these things our selves, never have to go through things such as the Holocaust and wars over and over again, if only people would listen.

But they won't.

There is no way to attract their attention without some manipulation, some persuasion, some trickery and word choice. Writing is expression -- the thinking behind it is power.
